Just go to ADD/REMOVE programs in the Control Panel to uninstall IE7.
(click "show Windows updates" if you do not see it)
IE6 will automatically be restored after IE7 is removed.

ur not stupid- half the world doesn't even know how to check email. first, go to the start button at the very bottom left corner of your screen. then go to settings and click on control panel. after that, you should see a button the says "add or remove programs". click on it and a list should come up of all the programs on your computer. go down to internet explorer. then click remove or uninstall and it should guide you through that. hope this helps :)

Go to Control Panel Add/Remove Programs find Windows Internet Explorer 7 and click Remove ...
You will have previous version IE ver. 6 up and running well (it's still sitting in your computer, didn't go anywhere). I did the same thing. LLLL

Uninstall Window Components from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
You can download Mozilla FireFox browser from http://www.compcentral.net/downloads.php?UID=1 which works perfectly.

I did that to, you can't just uninstall it you have to reformat and load everything again. If you try to just remove 7 it will take other needed opponets off your computer as well. It is a pain and is not good to work with, but I am getting used to it.

Try :(1) Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore-Restore my computer...Scroll for a date before upgrading, and restore
or (2) Start-Run-type sfc /scannow (with space between sfc and /). Be ready with CD WinXP
