You can date the mouse in two ways:
Carbon dating. By evaluating the amount of carbon-14 vs carbon-12 in the mouse you can tell how old it is. Make sure you get a sample from the board inside the mouse, or you'll get your own impurities and the test will fail.
Check the serial number against the FBI database of mouse creation dates. They're interested in tracking mice so they keep track of over 700 million mice (to date) in the MOUSEBALLS database. Call your local FBI office and tell them you'd like them to look at their balls.
