I just reserved a cabin in June/July in Big Bear for myself, my husband and his 3 kids (ages 9, 12 and 15). What kind of activities will there be at the lake? Anything that I really should do?

Tons to do. Rent a boat. Fish along the lake. There are a lot of hiking trails. Near Fawnskin there is a nature center. There is a zoo where all the animals are native to the area. Shop in the village. There is a small amusement park with mini golf, go-karts and a luge. There are 2 movie theaters. Antique shops are all over. Good places to eat. One of my favorites is the Big Bear Mountain Brewery. They have good sandwiches, hot wings that will singe your mouth and they brew quite a few really good beers. There is so much to do, you'll want to stay longer than you expect. Have fun.
