If you do not store them correctly then yes. Mascara should be thrown out after six weeks, sharpen your eyeliner and lipliner every time you use it, try not to use the applicator that comes with lipgloss - use a separate brush or your finger instead. Bacteria build up in cosmetics and this can cause infection. If you mean will wearing make-up cause long term damage, then no. Good foundations don't block pores, but actually help to protect the skin from outside contaminants.

I think someone has told you this to stop you from wearing make-up.

Have fun with it.

No, if the makeup is natural and good quality. But if the makeup has too many weird chemicals in it, which some makeups do have, they might damage your skin or eyelashes... Usually an alergic reaction is the first sign a certain makeup doesn't suit your skin... Spending little more money on good quality makeup is very okay, if you care about your skin :)

i'm an avid eyeliner fantatic. The only way that would cause any skin damage is the way you apply it. Apparently, its been proven that because you stretch your skin to apply it on the lower lashes, it can cause bagging and lines which makes you look older.

I doubt any of the others would cause any damage though.

depends if youre allergic. if so it could cause swelling, itching, dryness, topical eczema etc. if not it will onnly cause problems such as dryness and spots if you dont remove it properly. your skin should be fine as long as its looked after properly.
