What about the prophecy of Christ's return? There is no specific date on that, but if it happens, then the prophecy is true isn't it? So if someone makes a prophecy of something that could possibly happen any time. For example. I could say "There will be a great plane crash in 2010." That would be so general that it is likely to happen. But if I said "Mars will crash into the Moon", that is highly unlikely to happen, so if I don't give it a date, and it happens in 10 years, I think it would be a fulfilled prophecy, with one caveat that I would have to only make a few prophecies instead of saying anything imaginable could happen. For example, I could come up with a huge list of unlikely things, but it's just a matter of time before something crazy will happen. Also people like Nostradamus were cryptic and vague in their predictions, so you could interpret it to mean something that really happened. The Bible has specific prophecies that have been fulfilled that are highly unlikely. For example the Bible predicts that Isreal will again become a nation, and people from all over the world will go back to Israel and speak Hebrew. This is highly unlikely, but it did happen, and no other ancient nation has accomplished this that I know of. No other race has been scattered like this, then returned to their homeland intact like this. No specific date was given, but it's irrelevant. It's an astounding fulfillment of prophecy.
