The Middle East has always been a ticking time bomb. You have 3 distinctly different groups of religions which have been warring against each other almost since the beginning of time. The discovery of oil in the region only heightened these tensions and exacerbated the problem by providing reason for nations to take an interest in the region and it's potential economic impact on the world at large.

Everything the US has done so far has benefited the Shiite Islamic revolution in Iran. This has been a major blunder on the Bush administration's part. For 14 centuries, the Sunni Muslims have kept the Shiites at bay.
The major difference between the two is that Sunni Muslims believe religion should not be part of government. The Shiite believe the religion should be the government.
The US removed two Sunni controlled governments on the borders of Iran. This has opened the door for Shiite influence to spread in other countries in the Middle-East.

I don't believe we are following the best strategy.

But it is not a ticking bomb, it has gone off and there are many more bombs. I believe many, otherwise peaceful people, have joined the fight and it will get worse before it gets better. Our presence could contribute to a bigger problem rather that be a solution.

Fascist islamist is a big problem.

America is as fascist as the Muslim world in many respects. And both represent a threat to world peace.

I don't see war as the solution.

The world is their final goal. World domination. Destruction of Israel and death to America. I wish to God fellow US citizens would pull their heads out of the sand and wake up!
