Hi, I am doing an assignment on the history of African Americans, and their contributions to business and politics in the United States....(which there are many of!). Can you mention any key events and people? - Thanks

The one you may miss is the man who invented automatic oilers for locomotives, which became the prototype for all engines. I'm sorry, i forgot his name.
I guess Rodney King is probably partially right, but McCoy perfected the device. My family were railroaders, they were racists, they WOULD NOT have given any credit to an African-American, nor would but a minority of Railroaders. I guess we might say the African-american physician who performed the first modern open heart surgery didn't, Egyptians weren't African and didn't build the pyramids (although some guy is claiming they didn't, watch out for this one,) Rush Limbaugh is a genius, and racism doesn't exist. These people are so tiring

Yes, African Americans contribute to businesses by robbing them (often banks) causing businesses to improve their security and develop newer, betterr anti-theft devices. They contribute to Politics by using welfare and like programs for their entire lifetimes, which drains tax money, which in turn bolsters the Democratic Political Party as it allows that party to champion higher taxes to fund more welfare.
