You cannot be forced to have a British citizenship. You have to be married to an English man or live here for 10 years or buy a property (to be a very rich Russian). Also, after 4 or 5 years on the working permit you get a permanent residence. But after a few years living in the UK you get only residence permit.

You have to talk about such things to the Citizens Advise Bureau or just send them an email.

"How much will the 'overseas' fee for my course be?
Overseas fees can range from £4,000 to £18,000 per year, depending on the institution, the level of course and the type of course. Some institutions give details of the fees they charge on their websites. "

"Will I pay the 'home' or 'overseas' fee?
Only certain categories of students will be charged the 'home' fee. In very general terms, these are:

persons who have permanent residence in the UK and have been resident in the UK for three years;

EEA and Swiss workers and their spouses, civil partners and children in the UK who have been resident in the EEA or Switzerland for three years;

EU nationals and their spouses/civil partners and children who have been resident in the EEA or Switzerland for three years;

refugees (recognised by the UK government) and their spouses/civil partners and children; and

persons who applied for asylum and as a result have been granted Exceptional Leave, Humanitarian Protection or Discretionary Leave, and their families.

To see if you fall into any of these categories, download the UKCOSA Guidance Note 'Tuition fees: will I pay the 'home' or the 'overseas' rate?. "

It is true that it costs more to go to university in the UK if you're not a UK citizen or an EU citizen but it does also depend where you've been living for the last three years.

It is also true because it means that british citizens get to take out an interest free student loan to go towards their living costs and tuition fees. however, i dont know how long you'd have to be in this country to be able to apply for this.

good luck if ur going to university! im at uni in wales and its great!
