I agree with jakesbell's answer, and it is at least objective and factual.

I would say people are attracted not by fear or enjoy getting themselves scared, but because of the potential adrenalin rush, they are attracted to the thrill brought about by the unknown and uncertainty.

there is karma in scaring people intentionally or unintentionally.

if the objective is to catch the attention of the person, the best way is to advise the person directly or indirectly with as little fear as possible because there is karma in wrong speech.

adrenaline is a chemical that our body produce when we are scared. It produces a high. The same reason drug addicts like their like to get high.

a person is attracted only by fear if they wanted too...
a person is being scared just because he himself doesn't know wanted to take the risks of being free....... moreover a person is attracted by pessimistic things is just because he/she is insecure to himself.
