you can install windows vista on any computer that already has windows on it. you can buy it offline and then upgrade. you can't just download it for free. Mac computers don't use windows, at least i dont think they do...

Meanwhile get UBUNTU. It's a free, reliable and up to date operating system. And, once you have it installed you will get all of the programs that you will ever need FREE!!!

#1 yes like they said, with serial codes.

#2 also you can now install any windows operating system and others on the new intel Macs, so you can be running window or OS x at two different times, but if you do this I would advise installing it on a seperate hard drive because it leaves alot of unused data on their other wise and takes a while to defrag.

yeah, when u buy it from microsoft, you have the option to buy a "family pack"( i believe they start selling this option early february so you should be good) and it comes with the windows vista disk and five product keys ( i believe, it may be four ) i believe that this is about $$100 more than just buying vista

One product key = 1 computer, do you think Microsoft would let people make copies of Vista that easily?

as long it is not an OEM version. full package version of vista is not married to your one pc but it have a limitation on product activation.
