How your baby's growing: Head to bottom, your baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a large sweet potato) and she weighs almost 7 ounces. She's busy flexing her arms and legs — movements that you'll likely start noticing more and more. Her blood vessels are visible through her thin skin and her ears are now in position and stand out from her head. Myelin (a protective covering) is beginning to form around her nerves, a process that will continue for a year after she's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and Fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If your baby is a boy, his genitals are noticeable, though he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

The best thing you can do is type in "fetal devlopment at 18 weeks" into your search area of internet browser and you will get so many listings of different web sites to look at,you will be able to see images of inside your womb and what the baby looks like at 18 weeks. You can sign up for week by week newsletters from baby web sites and each weeks they will send you a new picture of how your baby will look aswell as tell you how you are doing. Also type in fetal images and that will bring up loads of different sites to look at of images of baby in the womb and how developed your baby is for each trimester.I love looking as each day i get to find a new bit of info and feel so more in tune with having all this to read while im pregnant.

Foetus would be about 6-8 inches at 18 weeks. All major organs — brain, lungs, liver, stomach — have developed. At 16 weeks, they can be seen sucking thumbs and yawning, and at 18 weeks opening their eyes. Varies from person to person though of course..

I can't recall exactly, but not too big, about the size of a small melon. A good book is Your Pregnancy Week by Week - tells you size each week and what is going on/developing at that time.

You should register with babycenter.com, they send you an email week by week telling you all about baby's growth and development as well as health checks for expectant mothers and great tips for preparing for baby's arrival.
Between this and your prenantal checkups you should have a good picture of baby's weight and size!
