I decided to do some little projects (maybe no point in me doing this).

I am trying to find a bunch of Mints (just names, pics, and details).

I would like to know where they grow and/or are produced. For example some mints appearently were first created or found in one location, but some country nearby or not even on the same continent may be growing them and selling them.

I think some time I would like to also know a longer range of health benefits or home remedies,.. past that " wakes you up and keeps you alert". Like some boost your immune system and some help people with digestive (I can't think of the words but Gastro)... problems.

I don't expect anyone to give me so much. A nice long list of names would be the most helpful thing anyone could do.

Thank You, bethyb.
Thank you for the warning. I wasn't so much thinking about planting them, I did keep running across stories of mints growing wild through countries on accident. Where I am living now insane Mint growth would be a blessing. We get poison Ivy some times, weeds invade, everyone in the neighborhood appears fearful to garden,... okay many people are poor distructive thieves that steal any plants my mom loves that the squirrals don't get.
Maybe they are desperate for better plants.

Please everyone post names XD There may be more Mints then you know.
(Please no more Candy jokes).

i love mint.
try this website: http://www.gilbertiesherbs.com/herb_guide/herb_guide.cfm
just choose mint from the dropdown box on the left.
not all the pics are there but they give you the botanical name so you can search the pics elsewhere. they have a great selection of mints and all kinds of herbs.
just remember that mints are VERY invasive, so if you are going to plant them in your garden, use a space that you don't mind it taking over, sink a pot in the ground, or use it as a container plant.
also, try searching some other herbs on their website. their info is very informative. what you see on the site is also what they print on their tags.

My wife has a book that lists just about every herb and spice. It discusses health and medical benefits of each. You might try some of the larger web sites like Amazon.com or others and do a search, etc. I'm sure there are many books on the topic.

good luck

try here. The only mints I know are the normal kind
spearmint
peppermint
wintergreen
doublemint
and the different mint sites for coins. See if you can find what you are looking for in this site. They have a section on Medicinal Herbs
Colon cleansing kit. Gently removes toxins in your body. View photos.
