Select which of the following you know:

a) Hundreds of people have died, and over 300,000 have been left homeless in floods in southeast Africa this week.
b) Anna Nichole Smith died.

I know you'll choose A, because thats the priorities of our country. Patriotism to the blonde girl with pretty boobs. However, ask any one of those Mozambicans left homeless, who have never had access to the internet, and they will tell you all about New Orleans. They will tell you they went to church to pray when it happened. I was there, I was overwhelmed at how concerned people were and how much they talked about it everywhere. And yet, Anna Nichole Smith still makes the headlines, and you haven't herd a word about the floods in Mozambique. She must be such a better person than those nameless ones who have died this week, right?

You have a very good point. I think the answer lies in the media. There was non stop coverage & still is over Anna Nicole Smith's death. It say's alot about our society & where it's priorities are.
But if enough people realize the problems they will eventually force some change. I refuse to take part in the current media frenzy over her death. I would hope others will do the same.

So true so sad! I didn't know about the African floods and yes been inundated (no pun intended) by the overwhelming coverage for Anna Nicole. Whom I've never heard of till now anyway. And to be perfectly frank don't care to hear any thing more! So it just shows the terribly skewed perspective of our media that a bimbo overdosing gets headlines and a nation being devasted by floods does not.

You are right, and it's not easy on me to admit about this fact. What happened to the people?? Where are there minds?? Why aren't they using logic?? Aren't we brothers in humanity?!!
It's a sad situation that the world reached today, thousands are killed monthly starving for not having a food to eat even a cup of water to drink!!!
Let us ask these questions: Who is responsible?
Why are those people dieng?
Who is helping them?
Why don't they have media medium?
What if i was in replace of them?
How would i feel?
How do they feel towards me?

I really feel sorry for them, we must not forget about these people, and everyone shall start from his own.
I do really appreciate what you are doing.
May GOD be with you
May he fed those who are in need
