It's a good time, actually. Those of us in our 20s and younger are all fighting for the same few roles, but if you are 30 and look your age or older, there are fewer of you vying for parts, and you will get seen more often. Take an acting class, and get a copy of backstage and get started!

It’s never too late to start something new. If you have never acted before, it is smart to take a class or two in community college. Do some local theater (if you have a community theatre, it’s even better.) To get into professional auditions you will need to get headshots and put together a resume. You can do all that from the community college level, or free university classes.

Have fun and go as far as it can take you.

maybe you can go online and see what programs in your area and it's never too late if you think you can do it more power to you i went back to school after 10 years and finished in the top 25

Heck no. I'm 43 and in grad school working on my MFA (lighting design) and there is an acting student who is older then I am.
