I had that with a buyer. He advertise a coat for sale with the item location in Bristol (where I live). I mailed him before the end of the auction asking if I could collect if I won. He said yes. When I won the item I sent him a message asking for his address to come as collect as agreed and the item was up in North Wales. It then took a month to get to me!
I gave him neutral feedback simply saying 'item finally received'. He then left neutral feedback and a message saying "Seems that you have let others wait, but when you have to wait for something....". This was only said because I had to wait 5 days for a cheque to clear from a buyer - they were ok with this.
My reply back to him was "They waited a week, not a month, I advertised the item in the correct location!".
Basically - you will come across a lot of idiots like that one and more. Just be squeaky clean so that if there are any issues you are in the clear.
Good luck

One thing I do not care for and will not do as a seller is withhold feedback until I get positive from the buyer.
Once the buyer pays, they have completed their obligation and should be given positive feedback.
Whenever I look at a seller, I always take into account the fact that some people are not fair on leaving feedback.
For example, a newer seller may have 50 feedback's with one being negative. That brings them down to 98% because someone decided to leave a negative feedback while 49 others were satisfied with the transaction.
What I do is look at the person who left the negative feedback. More times than not, I find these people are "bad buyers". Meaning they decide not to buy and blame it on the seller, complain about buying the item on Monday and getting it on Friday. Just stupid things.
I have had buyers like this bid on my auctions before and I reserve the right to not sell to them. They just are not worth the hassle.

Its fair if everybody plays by the same rules ! ... you are right, its far to easy for people to sling in negative feedback.
My personal experience of e-bay over the last couple of years has been pretty good with only 2 time wasters who claimed goods I had sent either didn'nt work or were described wrongly.
At the end of the day - I gave in and returned their money once I had recieve the goods back. They then did not leave -ve feedback.
On the other hand it is pretty easy to round up your mates to give you some good feedback.
.. Overall I suppose its a resonable indication but like everything else on e-bay, you can't always trust it

Let the other person (either Buyer or Seller) leave feedback first then you can say what you want!!! If the other person has left feedback for you after you have left feedback for them use the "REPLY" facility to put your side of the problem more explicitly. The feedback system is changing soon so you "report" of more aspects of the service ie Postage and speed of service. SEE E-Bay announcements for further info.

Course it's not but they make more money by ignoring the scammers. I fed back on someone who sold me fake trainers, then they gave me bad feedback as a buyer which in Ebays eyes cancelled my bad feedback out.

I completely agree with you - I had that done to me. I tried to offer to retract the negative feedback if the were willing to do the same but they wouldn't - they are now no longer a member (probably under anoher name!!). It is very unfair. it should be the customer is always right!!!
