Most of the people who are being killed aren't terrorists. They're Iraqis trying to protect their country from invasion. But it's the same old tactic of dehumanizing the enemy. People are more comfortable killing terrorists than people trying to protect their home.
Most of the terrorists in Iraq are American.

Actually I don't think our troops are fighting a foe as much as they are in the middle of a civil war. It seems to me that there is pent up hatred between the Shiite and Sunni populations which are fighting for domination of Iraq. This bit represents the bulk of violence in Iraq.
Then there are non-Iraqi fighters and weapons coming in to support one or the other faction. There are countries like Iran that have a desire to influence the outcome of the civil war. Not to mention, in their way of thinking getting away with killing a few westerners is just an added bonus.
In addition Al-Qaeda is there, hiding among the Iraqi people, with what I suspect is little to interest in the politics of Iraq, but have found a place where it's easier/cheaper for them to carry out there goal of killing westerners.
Long answer to your question, but the only answer would appear to be shoot back at whomever shoots at you. Westerners are the only ones wearing uniforms, if that's what you want to know?

We are fighting terrorists. Iraq has it's own government solidified with an 80% turnout of voters. Those whom fight our soldiers and Iraqi soldiers are by definition terrorists. Though much of the killing is sectarian violence which mostly is Iraqi on Iraqi death squads.
If we leave Iraq now and allow an extremist terrorist regime to take power they WILL enjoy the fruits of oil revenues. This will allow them to prop up terror cells throughout the world more than Osama Bin Laden could have ever dreamed of.
It will be a sure sign that Allah agrees with their Jihad and the death and destruction they cause as a result of our leaving will be incalculable.
God help us.

I thinkthere are many things going on in Iraq that we don't know about, we are fighting the Shia, the Sunni, al quida, and insurgents from all over the arab world. It would seem that we cannot tell, on top of that there are peace loving people dieing every day. Their mistake was to go to the market to buy something for supper. It is a shame.

Yes, anybody who has no problem killing lots of people for whatever cause is a terrorist. The American soldiers are fighting way more than one group. And it is probably very hard to tell the difference. But, my friend, that makes some Americans terrorists too.
