Carroll would not take the job, even if offered. For him to get back into the NFL, the organization would have to give him nearly, if not complete control over personnel. The Charger's GM, who's name slips my mind at the moment, would never have this.

No, Pete Carrol should not take the job.
Would he, yes he would if he had enough control at San Diego.
Pete Carrol has not faired very well in the NFL but would stick back around longer than that punk former Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saben......what a pussy, it did not go his way so he just leaves!!
The problem with the Chargers is the ownership a.k.a Spanos family!!!!!! It has always been that way......just as they crapped on Bobby Ross when he would not fire his whole coaching staff. I wish the Spanos family would sell the Chargers so someone who really has concern for the community and organization would make a purchase.

They have not offered it to him. Pete would want control of hiring his staff and AJ will not allow that. Plus, I think the Chargers should get a defensive minded Head Coach with an offensive coordinator that can keep us moving forward.

No, he's considered a coaching God in Southern California and around the NCAA. Unless these recruiting violations start to hamper USC...I see no reason why Carroll should ever leave the high life. But if the recruiting violations start becoming more public...I could see him leaving quick like when Barry Switzer left Oklahoma for Dallas

No, Pete Carroll would be a fool to leave USC. He is in the perfect position at USC. With this years recruiting class look for him to be successful for a long time. No NFL for Pete.

No. He is a much better college coach. Being at USC, and with his record, he can get just about any player he wants to go to school there and contend for a title every year. Why would you want to give that up for the headaches that go along with having to deal with the Chargers screwed up front office?

Not in a million years! With such an ****** GM, who'd want to work for the guy regardless of the pay? Besides, Carroll has such great success at USC that I doubt he'd want to go back to the NFL any time soon.

I dont really see that happening. He has a team that could possibly win a national championship this season (as much as I hate to admit it). I really doubt the Chargers will hire him. They are so close to being able to win a Super Bowl, they dont need some guy who's never coached in the NFL to slow them down.

I've heard Carroll say at least a dozen times that he is not interested in coaching in the pros again ever. He is happy where he's at, I don't think any amount of money will change that.

Heck no. He knows without having players that are twice as big as the other team's, he has no chance of winning. He's a big overrated fat zero. Ohio state didn't like him because he was nothing but a players coach. He belongs in college in he knows it.
