A polar bear, no doubt.
It can bring the rottweiler down with a single paw strike!

This is something asking like what would win in a race of Mustang and Focus. Polar bear is most dangerous animal in the world, even a lion and tiger can spare their hunt but a polar bear never. Being massive in size, with sheer power and hungry for months due to snow is the most dangerous creature on the earth. A rottweiler won't be able to do anything except a few bites.

Polar bear...
Why? Sheer size and stength.
Polar Bear.. Most adult males weigh 300-600 kg (660-1320 lb) and measure 2.4-2.6 m (7.9-8.5 ft) in length. Adult females are roughly half the size of males and normally weigh 150-300 kg (330-660 lb), measuring 1.9-2.1 m (6.25-7 ft).[4][5] At birth, cubs weigh only 600-700 g or about a pound and a half.
The largest polar bear on record was shot in Kotzebue Sound, Alaska, in 1960. According to Guinness World Records 2006, this bear weighed an estimated 580 kg (1960 lb) and was 3.38 m (11 ft 11 in) tall when mounted.

Rottweiler... According to FCI standard, the Rottweiler stands 61 to 68 cm (24-27 inches) at the withers for males, and 56 to 63 cm (22-25 inches) for females.[2] Average weight is 50 kg (110 pounds) for males and 42 kg (95 pounds) for females. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rottweiler
PS I dont know why anyone at your school would be debating this... there is no debate Polar bears weigh on average 3-10 times as much as the largest Rottweiler.. Not to mention the fact that to an animal that kills 90kg seals for a living.. a 50kg rottie is nothing more than a snack to the largest land carnivore.

Are you shitting me? What school did you go to? Months and MONTHS??? A Rottweiler is like a newborn kitten compared the strongest and most powerful of all land mammals! The polar bear probably wouldn't even fight it for lack of a challenge! I think you should maybe change your question to "what would win out of a Rottweiler or a Doberman" or alternatively, "a Polar Bear or Grizzly/Rhino/Hippo/Gorrilla". Years ago, lads mag FHM ran a joke "king of the jungle" where they pitted various animals against each other...can't recall the winner, but was along the same lines as your question. Only difference was, no dogs were in it since they are domestic pets and couldn't fight sleep compared to the bad boys of the wild. Rottweilers couldn't even beat Rambo for godsake (see First Blood) where he kills at least 4 bare handed. Cheers

You'd need around 10 Rottweilers to take on a polar bear.

The polar bear would make the rottweiler it's bit ch. Not even a fair fight. It shouldn't even be debatable. Now a fight between a polar bear and a wombat would be one hell of a fight.
P.S. to kakarot_jrc: humpback whales are like 50 ft long. There is no f*cking way a polar bear can knock out a humpback whale.

In gold rush days in the Sierras they had bull and bear fights and chain up the bear to handicap the event. Still the odds were 10 to 1 that the bear would be eating steak at the end of the match.
A dog could not take a bull, let alone a bear. The dog would last about as long as a weiner at Nathan's on the Fourth of july.

Sweet Jesus! How on earth did you manage to debate the bleedin' obvious for so long? Did you actually mean to ask waht would win ina fight between a Rottweiler and a blind, one legged, de-clawed, toothless Polar Bear? In which case the answer is still the latter.
