I done have dreams often but when I do they seem to tell me something, and they don't have any connection with the days events?

I agree. When you have a nightmare you wake up scared or frightened. If it doesnt mean anything why do you have these feelings? I think dreams are your deep thoughts.

Maybe you are suffering from 'Night Terrors"? These are extremely vivid and terrifying nightmares that seem very real... emotions are often hectic and you wake up feeling like you've run a marathon or screamed your heart out... if thats so then you need to go to a psychologist to help you figure our why you are having these nightmares... or to a doctor who may give you something to help you sleep...
