The best museum in North America for China is the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Ontario.
They have ancient bodhisattvas, tapestries, Buddhas, statues, and much more. The first director was in China when war broke out. The Chinese gave him these ancient treasures for the museum in order to prevent their destruction by the enemy. The story of what was sent and how it was sent is quite exciting.

Most major museums have Asian art sections...

Check out the places with the largest Asian populations. San Francisco, Oregon, Canada Etc...Although that isn't always the best way... It might help some?
