When people have nothing to give because of their financial situation they feel really bad, and may not know how to tell you. So instead don't be mad you will have plenty of more Valentines in your life. Choice one that can save for the occasion

Please understand that Valentines Day, is much like Christmas, only the fact that we don't have a bunch of holidays b4 it. It doesn't matter if you got anything that time, just that on other days of the calender he was there.
If he says he was busy, don't start causin drama over it. Just chill, let the fish come to you.

What did YOU give him on the valentine day? Why should it be only him the giver and YOU the receiver?!! It takes two to tango.
Valantine day is the day in which lovers display their love to each others. Its not the day in which ONLY the boys or men show their love to their gf or wives.
Love produces love and stinginess produces stinginess.
You should be grateful, at least he gave you his reason. What are yours?!!!
Wake up! Stop whinging!
All the best!/

sounds like he is being a jerk to me. If I were you I would talk to him a.s.a.p and find out what is up with him and why he did nothing for you on Valentines Day. He owes you an explanation. Especially if he hasn't even talked to you at all lately. Talk to him and find out what is real. Good luck!

Did he call you and wish you Happy V-day? Is he poor and unable to afford to get you something?
if both of these answers are NO, Im sorry but you need to let him go because he does not really care about you.
When you care about somebody, i dont care how busy you are; you find time to talk to that person, you find time to call that person, you find time to be with that person, and you definetly dont treat that person like they come second
If he can find time to do all of this other stuff, he can most definetly find time for YOU. If he doesn't find time for you, find time for someone else.

did he at least call you and wish you happy valentines day? or give a damn good reason for not seeing you? if not then its one of three things
1. he has another girlfriend. who he spent valentines day with
2. he doesnt 'do' valentines day and is really tight
3. he doesnt value you enough to make an effort
none of these are good things. your only course of action is to
1. wait for a few days to see if he makes it upto you. if he doesnt then you have to either confront or dump him
2. confront him straight away
3. dump him straight away
good luck
