The media wants the government and everyone else to be 'transparent', but they won't tell us who they are getting their copy from. (Fox and CBS were willing, and did so; why not the other big Networks? What are they trying to hide?).

Its freedom of the press. They don't have to reveal their source, so most of the time they don't. Plus, if they reveal the source, other networks will be able to get the same story and run it. So, mainly its the station saying I have what you want and I am not willing to share.
