Sounds just like the French in Vietnam. You isolate and pacify one place, and what happens? The enemy controls the rest of the country. (The Russians by the way, learned that in Afghanistan.

Not a bad idea, but I don't think our country could survive three terms under Hillary or Obama.
I just can't imagine that Al-Quaeda wasn't re-fortifying before we decided to send more troops there.

What are you talking about. Al Sadr has cut and run to Iran, the Shiite s have stood down, the Iranian border is now closed. Al Queda in Iraq leader is wounded and his top deputy is toast. Seems like the ist are in full retreat

It is a bad situation gone worse, as predicted. Another failed plan, many more lives both American and innocent Iraqi's. I hope that congress reels in this evil emperor soon. It needs to be done before he does any more damage.
