You could just leave them and let them die, let nature take it's course... But would you ever forgive yorself if you did that?
We took in one old and very sick horse who lived with us for 12 years, even though her outlook was only another couple of years - she had a long and happy retirement! We also tok in a horse with a broken knee, who is now rideable as long as we are careful. I take in birds too, just last Spring I saved a blackie, 4 baby sparrows and a dove, and I breed dwarf turtle doves. My 3 dogs and 2 cats are all rescues.
You're doing a good job, the care is awful, I know, but the reward at the end is worth it when you see the animals walk or fly...(at least for me!)
;-)

I would call you a senseless monster if I knew you better, but I have an advice that could prevent you from having quilts. Baby pigeons are very sensitive and it is 90% sure that they are going to die without their natural parents. Not even adult pigeons are so strong to survive if they have any kind of illness or broken leg or feather. So relax

Do you have a local animal welfare center?
You could take animals (injured or not) that you find, there. They could give you information on how to look after the animals properly.
Try this site:

Good luck.
