The most important thing in life is YOU. I can add more to this comment, however, I would encourage you to read the book " Another Thought" by OC Tross. This book will answer all of life's burning questions. Believe me this book is good!

The most importent thing in life is to become a real human being, having humanitarian values, not just being like a self-centered "beast with a human body".

To know that a friend is really a friend is really a friend is really a friend is really a friend, and if we tell someone that we are their friend to be that friend. Then I have to ask does anyone else love any of their friends and how does that work for them? How far do you let it go and when do you back off? To know some of these things is pretty important in my way of thinking.

This one's hard to pick, but I'm going to say : loved ones..loving and being loved. Without truly connecting with other people, what's the point of everything else really? Someone could be wise, be enlightened, could love themselves, could love nature and have strong faith in their god or whatever, but when no one loves you and you love no one then life is that much more lonely and empty.
