there is this chick that i work with, she is one of those that like to show off, and she never cares how she answers but i always make sure that when i speak to my colluguess i never offend them in anyway,she makes sure she offends me personally each time i open my mouth. how do i deal with it, and the worst part she is only a receptionist and i don't have to be liable to her, she is 1 year older than me and still single,im married and settled could that be a factor. there was a time when i complained about having an irritation after shaving and she suggested that im using cheap blades! can u beleive the nerve!. What can be causing this sort of behaviour. she is one of those drama queens if u know what i mean.pliz help.....

Too many times to count, probably because they would think me easy going until I turned on them and they knew what an enemy was all about ! Strangely enough, once we'd cleared the air and the verbal battles stopped, some of these people became friends. Don't let this snotty receptionist put you down any longer. Get a dig at her whenever you can. For instance, the shaving skit. You should have said, "Well, your face is reasonably smooth, which blades do you you use?" Try and be one step ahead at all times, anticipate what her come-back is going to be, and have your's ready. Sometimes you have to drag yourself down to other peoples level. She obviously thinks she's clever and needs a little audience to hear her skits, so when she has another go at you, just yell "What is your problem? People who need to be sarcastic to others, usually feel insecure about themselves, and turn the attention to someone else, so come on, share". It's always worked for me. Keep practicing, wear her down, and good luck
