My V Reg 406 GLX drivers window has recently started playing up. when I press the button to make the window wind down the window moves slightly then stops so i have to press the button again, sometimes it will then go back up (when the button is in the down position) or will go down a bit then stop again, or it will go down normally. It's as if there is an issue with ether the switch or a wiring fault that's causing it to malfunction. I noticed a auction on ebay for someone who was selling a switch pack saying it wasn't needed because it was not the switch and a wiring fault...if it is a wiring fault does anyone know what i would need to look for? Any answers would be greatly receicved.

The winder motor is interlocked with a pressure sensor, to make sure the little ones don’t trap their heads in the window. If the guide frames are sticky or the window is slightly out of line there is enough pressure to activate the sensor.

I found that a well place knee and some pressure on the top of the window frame can correct the problem.

defective anti trapping protection device or window sticking in the runners fooling the device into thinking some thing is trapped. while the window is totally closed attempt protecting the up button for about 5 seconds - this would reprogramme it and fasten it - ought to no longer yet worth a bypass.
