This is a tough one, but I will have to go with Kobe, while Jordan was and is the better NBA player of the two. Kobe is the purest scorer in the league since Earl Monroe dazzled the NBA averaging over 40 points a game. Jordan may have made everyone around him play better as well as win six championship creating one of the best dynasty in American sports history. Kobe has better range, a quicker release and a better ball handler. I give it to Kobe, but don’t get me wrong it one be one hell of a game to see. O yea, for everyone who says Jordan posterized Kobe so many time, the first game Kobe had against the Bulls his rookie year Kobe went straight up on MJ and that dunk graced the front page of the LA Times sports section.

When you're talking about the talent each had when they played. I'd pick Jordan hands down. Kobe is good and may have scored more points in a game. But he just can't do many of the things Jordan did. Also, Jordan was much more of a team player, although I think Kobe has finally learned over the last couple of years how to be one. When Kobe plays better team ball his point average goes way down.

Thats a hard question to answer....I am a big Kobe fan all my life so I say he beats Jordan. Michael did some amazing things but I never saw Michael Jordan doing turnaround 3 pointers that Kobe nails every game. Michael could also hit game winners, but so can Kobe. Kobe only has 3 rings but would have won more if Shaq would've stopped acting like a brat because he didn't want to share the spotlight...yet for some reason NOW hes ok to share the spotlight with D-Wade and look what they won.....a championship. But over all Kobe is already as good as Jordan and he's only 28 years old.....he is still an up and rising star!

Kobe's played on only one losing team in his career. Jordan led his teams to FIVE losing seasons (yet another area in which Jordan "surpasses" Kobe).
The idea that either one of these guys could stop the other is ridiculous.
However, the referee would no doubt call Kobe for a foul anytime Jordan missed a shot, giving Jordan the ball back... so I'd have to say Jordan would win the one on one game, IF and only if an actual referee was involved, especially if MJ were allowed to clothesline Kobe whenever Kobe drove past him.

Jordan wins. And for the person above me that said Kobe is already as good as Jordan is crazy. Kobe does not have the talent that Jordan had. Kobe can't carry a team like Jordan did.

who's guarding Who? the two way in case you propose the older Magic and Michael right this moment, then Kobe and Magic provided that Kobe beat Jordan final time. LeBron would help MJ out nonetheless. in case you propose the gamers in there previous whilst they have been sturdy, then James and Jordan. MJ grew to become into the final NBA participant to play the sport and with the help from a greater valuable participant right this moment as James, then that they had harm Magic and Kobe. What related to the previous Magic and Michael vs Kobe and LeBron? What a large question. Its approximately time human beings get off of Kobe vs LeBron.

At this moment Kobe would win because he is young and still playing while Jordan is retired and doesn't stress physical fitness. If you took both players from their prim Jordan would open a can of woop *** on Kobe because he plays better D and has a better shot.

Kobe has never gotten the "Jordan treatment" by the NBA officials
Jordan always got the calls going his way, always. Never fouled out, because he could never foul an opponent, that was a no-no. And forget about defending him in the paint, that was forbbiden. Jordan was by far the most "protected' athlete in the world in his time. Kobe isn't. So I'm sure Jordan would kick ***.
With the NBA officiating, I'm sure Stockton would have a shot at Kobe....

It's a absolute DISGRACE to even mention Kobe to MJ....Kobe isn't even worthy enough to be compared to The Greatest Of All Time Michael Jordan
