Sure. While modern technology does not create a virtual reality as yet, some people learn a great deal over the Internet. Some of the world's greatest thinkers would obviously use the Internet.
Also, the Internet has become a large part of our lives. Even if you don't use it, you probably know somebody who has been provoked, slightly or sublimely, to do something which has changed your lie.

Yes. Some people communicate with written communication more than spoken. It is distance communication, just like letters, books, university essays, and the telephone.
You can buy food online, meet people, apply for jobs, even get a degree from some recognized universities. There are more con men on-line than off, especially in those areas mentioned above, but they are real con-men, not imaginary ones.

The internet so called 'life' is only a temporary style. Most of it is NOT real...it is a time wasting/timeless thing. Internet is only temporary info highway until someone comes up with something new...easier...cheaper etc.

The fish trap exists because of the fish. Once you've gotten the fish you can forget the trap. The rabbit snare exists because of the rabbit. Once you've gotten the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words exist because of meaning. Once you've gotten the meaning, you can forget the words. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can talk with him?
