George Bush, is still president, because of a peculiar twist in American Law. Presidents are never actually asked to officially relinquish their offices. So any living US President, is actually still a President. The only exception to this is Richard Nixon, because he resigned from Office. So George Bush is still President, as is his son George W. Bush.
Every once in a while, the fact that Presidents actually never quit being Presidents in the US, is covered briefly in either the news, or in one or the other Houses of the US Congress, and although a few times a bill has been introduced to create an official ceremony to strip the outgoing President of all powers, the bills have never actually gotten anywhere and are always quashed.
Guess the People of the USofA like the thought that their Presidents never officially quit.

He gives the impression of being hardened, but I have doubts. He gives the impression of being in controol, not so sure. But he does have controol of a large place and he's on his way out in 08. He's not got an easy job, he has a lot more responsibility than anyone else so give him a break. All we can do is hope that the US people have the sence to put a wise person in power next. We have a lot to be thankful about because of order and rights.

GEORGE W. Bush will be our President until the election in 2008. People must remember that he cannot enact any law or act of war without the consent of Congress. Enough said!!!

Americans were easily brainwashed and some still are, living in denial that their president used them, and is still using and lying to them. They can't accept that he used 9/11 to his own advantage. They just tell themselves that the rest of the world is wrong and that everything that he says is true and right because he is one of them.
Slowly, they will realize the error they made and wake up one day.

We are a nation of constitutional law, and unless the president is found guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors, and successfully impeached, we are stuck with him til the end of his term. Anyway, you would then have president Cheney, and, boy!, wouldn't that frost some of the left winger's balz!

I have been asking that same question for 6 years. Unfortunately many Americans (and others) believed all the propaganda. Now the damage is seemingly endless. The citizens of the US will pay for their error in judgment for a very long time.

I am an average American....I did NOT vote for Bush! My mother voted for him, I told her before his first term that she would regret it. I was right. I don't believe it was the propaganda that got him in...I think that it was simply because he is a right wing nut job! He went to the right states, spewed his family values crap to the religious right and they came out in droves to vote for him. In general, people are apt to believe what they want to. I cannot wait for him to get out of office. Before him, we had a capitol surplus..now, we have the largest deficit ever! He's a jackass!
