MJ IS RIGHT. REGULAR ENGINE OIL GOES IN THE CRANKCASE. IF YOUR NEW WITH 2 STROKE BIKES, MAKE SURE THAT YOU PREMIX THE OIL AND GAS PROPERLY AND CLEAN AND OIL YOUR AIR FILTER REGULARLY! THIS WILL GREATLY INCREASE THE LIFE OF YOUR ENGINE, ITS VERY IMPORTANT!

The oil you are speaking of is for your gearbox. You can put regular oil in but, Honda sells oil specifically for the transmission which is what I use on my 02 250. Cost $6.00 at the local Honda dealer.

we're talking crankcase...not premix.

as far as crankcase goes...you can use regular motor oil. castrol gtx is what i use. the important thig is to change it often, and regular is cheap enough to change it often. In my cr250 i used ATF-type-F as well and it worked great. Just be sure its the TYPE-F. you should check out dirtrider.net forums too, all the info and answers you would ever need.
