I don't think it's selfish, aren't most of us scared of being alone ?
Don't waste your time thinking about it though, enjoy life.

i think the whole point of life is to journey on. there is no substitute for experience,no-one wishes to be left alone once they have committed themselves to another, but i feel that you should have all the things you need to carry on inside you and that if you found yourself on your own, you would not shrink back and become recluse. i have known people that have just given up, it's not a reflection on their strength of character, it's just that i think that there's more to life than four walls or the bottom of a glass. i have learnt this now because i have had people who helped me understand the importance of embracing life. it is not to be wasted or locked away, how could you help some-one else deal with life if you won't move on with your own. i believe if you have the ability to do, then you should also have the obligation. if everyone had similar views in respect of the care and well being of others, we would be living on a quieter and more peaceful planet

It's the hurt! I don't want to go through the pain of losing someone I love! I'd rather die first. Yeah it's selfish, but eh, I am only human and so are you!

We dont really have a say in this matter do we, we will all go when its our turn. I dont feel afraid to be left after my partner, i have 4 wonderful children and a great family so i know i will be ok. You are not thinking selfishly, you are just worried! Dont think about it mate, live your life and be happy!!

no not selfish at all, most people in loving relationships don't want to be the person left behind and lonely and would like to go first.....on the other hand people in bad relationships pray for the day their partners are taken

everyone is afraid of dying and it is an inveitable thing that will come to us all, see death as a new beginning, nobody knows what truly happens when you die anyway.
