I have heard that China had originally planned to land a man on the moon during the 2008 Olympics, but there have been many setbacks in their space program, and now they have pushed the date past 2010, other analysts believe China will probably be able to pull it off by about 2015, for China it is a prestige thing, to show the rise of the new China into a major player on the world stage, I have heard that Japan is also working on a moon project, and India has announced it plans to land a man on the moon before 2030. I seriously wish either America or Russia would take the initiative to not only go back to the moon but begin the all out colonization of space.

In my opinion, not for a while. Everyone is so focused on mars that they don't care about the moon. That's why they sent Spirit and Oportunity there there. Plus those sattilites that orbit the planet. They are going to send for rovers and sattelites there in the future. One such mission is the Mars Research Lab (something like that, don't know correct name) in 2009 (It should be 2009). But your best bet is not for a while or not at all. People now days don't care for the moon but truly without it we wouldn't be here today. Humanity couldn't exist without the moon.
