Dude I think ur best bet would be to go for the Acer 5633WLMI. I think its a good laptop to work on yet its not flashy. Yes it might be a so that it stretches ur budget a bit more but I think its well worth the money that u pay.
The features:-
Intel Core 2 Duo Processer
1GB RAM
120GB Hard drive
an integrated graphics card.
Whats more the screen quality is the best in the class.
I personally own one and I can tell u its the best I've seen to date at that price. Best thing is its got an years international warranty meaning u can get it repaired anywhere in the world should it go faulty which I think it wouldn't.
