How do I connect my nintendo DS wifi to another country?

I have Animal Crossing game and want to play it with someone who's not next to me. I ahve their name and code, but it will not connect. Do I need something else?

Well you need a wifi connection at home.

I only have Mario Kart DS, but to connect that online I needed to click on the "Nintendo WFC" option in the main menu, then on "Nintendo WFC Settings", then "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings" and clicked on "Connection 1" to set up one connection, and then I needed to test it.

I don't know how the menus look on Animal Crossing but it should probably be something like that.

EDIT: OH yeah I forgot, the Nintendo DS doesn't seem to be as good at receiving signals as a regular laptop or PC wireless adapter does. So you might need to move closer (Not too much closer) to your wireless router.

And if you don't have a wireless router you can buy a USB adapter for your PC that will make a wifi hotspot for your DS.
