Most importantly, we have to recognize that the alternatives -- wind, solar, or using hydrogen -- are more expensive than using fossil fuels.
This leads to 3 possible solutions:
1. We could tax the emissions of carbon -- the so-called carbon tax.
2. We could subsidize the production of energy from other sources through tax credits or outright cash gifts for installing the initial equipment.
3. We could place emissions limits on individuals and firms. This is already being done in many countries. Moreover, firms and individuals are allowed to trade the rights to produce carbon. For example, if I wanted to drive my car to work, I could purchase carbon credits from you, and you would then take the bus to work.
However, most climate change experts think that it is probably too late. We have been putting carbon into the atmosphere for several hundred years, and carbon gets re-absorbed really slowly.
It might be better to put our efforts into preparing for a warmer and more volatile world.

Best solution is seperating hydrogen from water and using it. So many prototypes are ready and within 10 years of time the market will be flooded with the cars having this new design. Remember, some part of every rupee you spend on petrol or diesel go to the radical muslim elements, so it is a must to change over to hydrogen and ENTIRELY stop using petrolium products bought from the middle-east.

Dear friend,
Simply follow what others will do in the above situation.
Do not worry unnecessarily beyond your scope and boundries.
Be a Roman in Rome.
Be a Raman in Ayothi,India.
This is a problem Heads of states to sort out not you and me.It is totally irrelevant for you and me to worry about problems beyond our scope.
If you have a vehicle cut out petrol use.
Use public transportation.
Thw world find a solution or learn to live with the problem.
Petroleum stock under earth will last for another 100 years and more.why bother now?

The best way is to use solar energy. For hydrogen it will need to break water molecules which will cost more energy & extra bucks. We also need to invent energy efficient machines. AND EFFECTIVE IS 2 GET RID OF HEAT ENGINES coz as far there efficiency has not reached beyond 55-60%.

Use solar energy. There will be surely one day when we will be out of these fuels. It is high time we started using a renewabale source of energy. It will also be less polluting. We should start designing cars like that.
