Marriage counseling works.

your feelings for someone new are about what you are missing in the relationship you have, it means you are looking for something because you are not totally fulfilled in your marriage. Your wife probably threatens to leave because she feels the same way. She probably picks up vibes that you are not fulfilled with her. If you need advice then you really aren't wanting a divorce. Maybe you can have a trial separation and see if that makes the two of you miss each other and realize what you had or not.

First of all, it's not healthy for either partner to threaten divorce. Marriage should be a "safe" , nurturing place. It sounds like maybe you and your wife have trouble communicating effectively and honestly and whether she realizes it or not she's really pushing you away. It's time you tell her either you two get into counseling to learn how to make your marraige work for both of you or don't be surprised if it's you who files for divorce. It's time for her to wake up and smell the coffee. Good luck.
