i'm building a new website that will display adult material.
I've seen this on alot of other adult web sites...

What is it?
Is it something I need to place on my website?
Any other feedback would really help.
thanks.

2257 is a law that protects children by requiring ANYONE who uploads and shows adult material (even if its just a nude artistic shot) that the model who is in the picture is 18 years or older by presenting the Department of Justice OR The FBI with a crystal clear picture of their drivers license (and/or Social Security) and contact info of that model, just in case someone who comes to your website and cries FOUL!!! and reports you to the FBI.

The DOJ or FBI are supposed to check your records once every 4 months to make sure you're not abusing children and are indeed using models who are of age. If you don't have the model/drivers license info, AND you upload content, you face stiff fines and maybe jail time. This 2257 law requires you to give them an address where they can come at anytime to check. The same rule applies if you give or sell pictures of your model that you must also give the buyer the drivers license picture so when they come knocking at their place, they have it too. It sucks, but it's the law. Here's a link for more info. Good Luck!
