There will always be strife in the Middle-East, its been like that for as long as civilization has been around. But when western politicians meddle in the affairs of of other countries, more often things get far worse than if they never meddled in the first place.
As it is, not just our troops in Iraq, we have two U.S. carrier battle groups there showing the flag, its too easy to tempt fate with the limited capabilities of those who can provoke the Navy into a conflagaration, since the navy has advanced tactical weaponry that can easily escalate a bad situation into something completely ugly & out of control.

Well,... if he does bring about a premature end of the world, at least there won't be any more "American Idol" on TV. We can go back to watching the paint peel off of the walls.

You had better hope it's Bush trying to fulfill end time prophecy. Two carrier groups can easily make the Middle East incapable of sustaining life, of any kind, not just human. A carrier group is the most formidable military assembly mankind ever created, with as much destructive capability as an army. Three counting the one currently on the way to the Middle East is curtains for whomever Bush attacks with it.
Nothing short of a series of enemy nukes will stop it. What people in America haven't learned yet is that whether you are blown up by a million dollar missile, or hit in the head with a rock, dead is dead. Our faith in technology is seriously misplaced.
End time prophecy is a time of joy for Christians. The rest of the world may have second thoughts, but believe me those familiar with such religious theology under stand the significance, the jihadi aspect of the Islamic population most assuredly understand Bush's ideology. They fear it almost as much as they think people fear terrorism.

Two World Wars evolved because powerful countries didn't "meddle" with affairs when they should have. If instead of waiting for Pearl Harbor the US had attacked Berlin as soon as Hitler attacked Poland, the Holocaust may have never happened.
We can just as easily assume things may get much worse without "meddling".

Why is your president trying so hard to fulfill the prophecy of ending the world? Well, I believe by the very nature of 'prophecy', he is caught up in something bigger than himself. I believe Bush has gone completely beserk. In his lucid moments - as occurs in all madness - he will also wonder what the heck he's gotten Americans into. But you know, arrogance has a way of blindfolding a man and driving him to the abyss.
I wish Americans the best of luck. The world does love you, yes, without the Bush doctor ...

Perhaps it is God's will that all this happens to fulfull prophecy. Isn't that an interesting (and possibly, terrifying) thought. If it is all fore-ordained there is nothing anyone can do to change it.
