JaMarcus Russell. Big, strong QB from LSU who will fit right into the Oakland situation. Really as long as they can keep dominating on defense, and can at least have a mediocre offense, I dont see why the Raiders couldnt go to the playoffs. I mean the 05 Bears had one of the worst offenses in the league and they still went 11-5.

I don't think their has ever been a kicker drafted first, and they badly need a new QB. I think they would pick JaMarcus Russell. He seems like a good pick for the Raiders. He is mobile, and he's a pretty decent passer. I still think Russell won't help the Raiders that much, because their O-line sucks.

They need to trade that pick and get a few extras from another team. They have so many holes to fill its not even funny. They need an entirely new offensive line to start with. They probably will take a QB though which means Jamarcus Russell. Quinn won't work for them because he's not as mobile, and whoever their QB is, is going to have to be able to run for his life with the pocket collapsing around him every other play.

Yes but if Al Davis doesn't draft a QB, his team will be ancient history. Another year of Andrew Walter or Marques Tuiasosopo would be death to the Raider Nation. He's got to go with Russell.

Most experts agree that Al Davis almost has to look for a strong armed quarterback in the first round. That man is JaMarcus Russell of LSU. But, Al Davis has been known to change his mind at the last minute. If he does, look for him to go with RB Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma. Either way it will be a step in the right direction for the Raiders.

They have a glaring need at QB, so if they keep the pick, expect them to take one of the marquee QB's such as Russell, Quinn or Troy Smith. I think they should look for a trade partner and move down for extra picks. When a team is this far down, the rebuilding process works far more effectively by stockpiling picks and filling holes than by taking a hopeful superstar.

I would trade the pick and Randy Moss and get a wide receiver, a quarterback and another decent running back instead. For example, Garcia and Brown from the Eagles for the pick, and maybe Moss to Baltimore for Jamal Lewis.
