It depends on the kind of life you want to live. We could survive without science and maths if we were willing to live a basic life (think living in natural holes in cliffs and eating fruit that grew naturally within walking distance). However, once you want communication/healthcare/transport/farming or a whole host of other things, you'll need science and/or maths.

At the stage of civilisation we have now, it would be impossible to get rid of science, as people are reliant on technology.
