my laptop does not detect wireless connections, if i press "wireless on" it says i should turn on the "hardware switch", now my problem is that i don't know where the hardware switch is, can anyone help me please.....

Some laptops actually have a little button somewhere on the laptop that you have to push (not on keyboard)

If you have a Fn key LOOK you probably do press it and the F2 key together that often will enable\disable that feature on many different notebooks

try going to device manager, then under your wireless thingy check and see if you have disabled it. You should also try looking for a driver update

toshiba has a little door to open on the side of the laptop, when opened it turns it on. not sure what brand your dealing with

Try going into network connections and see if it in there.
Try looking under network properties.

look at the instruction manual since its on different loactions on different laptops
