If it has alcohol it might. I've been wearing contacts for a while and I've done all sorts of stuff with them. But it's best to remove them when cleaning up, for the sake of both you eyes and contacts.

I've been wearing contacts for over a year now and i always take them off before removing any eye makeup so i think you should do the same. Just as people say 'better safe than sorry'!

I have been using contacts for a loooong time! It is always safer to remove your lenses first before removing eye makeup. My doc has suggested the same.
If you remove your makeup first, some particles could go inside your eyes which could react with the chemical composition of the lens solution and you could develop an eye allergy.
Also, use only those makeup brands which indicate that they are safe for contact lens wearers.

It is better to take them out but if u use a really "soft" remover for sensitive skin or even special makeup removers for people who wear contacts u could use it while still wearing them, but you need to be careful and gentle, don't rub to hard on your eyes.I don't think your contacts will be affected but if you aren't careful you could cause small injuries in your eyes, nothing to serious but it can be very annoying.I personally only used make up remover while still having my contacts in only if I had messed up something during the make up process and needed to start over.
If they get dirty while getting them out, just clean them like always with the solution, nothing else!!It will get the stuff of,don't worry, don't use something else,it could cause serious damage both to your contacts and your eyes.

Clarins do a great Gentle Eye Make Up Remover.. this is great for contact wearers, they use 100% natural products all plant extracts. There is no traces of alcohol in any of their products. Its not too expensive either, so give it a go!

Maybe I'm wrong in this, I wear contacts and I take my contacts out last ( or sometimes not at all). But it's probably best to be as careful with your eyes as possible, so take them out unless it causes problems for you to see what you are doing.
