In my opinion there's absolutely NOTHING that can be done after marriage that couldn't be done before it just as well. When you're headed for a serious commitment all signs must be in favor of such a decision, meaning love, trust, communication, touch, etc. If things do change after marriage, it's often for the worse, not the better.

A man will do a lot of things in the beginning that he won't be able to continue doing. Like taking you to all the concerts, the movies, going shopping with you, helping out around the house, etc. Anything that he can do to impress you. Eventually it all begin to fade away.

It's another thing when he starts out empty handed. Something is wrong (I got enough balls to call it like I see).
"After we get married", Did he really say that? I majored in psychology, and I know that's an ultimatum. In other words if you want him to acknowledge V-day you will have to marry him first. By the way if was shy he still would have bought a gift but may have a problem giving it to you.

Hard to say what the issue is here, but I'd be apprehensive if the person i was about to marry hardly talked to me. That is quite peculiar.

your feelings are important, whether they are before marriage or after. my married sisters say, u have to try "tit for tat" method. dont wish him at all on his birthday etc. it will make him more attentive towards you. dnt fret. there r many people i know who are not DEMONSTRATIVE about love, but are caring, anyway. the imp thing is, he should CARE for u.
