the most obvious answer (if you're sexually active) is that you might be pregnant. A simple test kit from most drugstore can shed light on that.

But there are also many reasons why a woman could be late, such as stress, etc. None of them are worth worrying too much about.

So consult a gynecologist if you're still concerned. Sometimes not knowing make you think of the worst.

Was it your first period? If it was, then they will be a bit irregular at first. But even if it wasn't there's nothing wrong with you, not many cycles are exactly 28 days and they can vary each month. Don't worry, you're perfectly normal. :)

Don't panic! It is normal, some women are irregular and maybe you are one of them. But if it is your first then don't worry because you always are when you start out. Don't panic I am sure you are fine.

If you are very sure of yourself not being sexually active then you are not pregnant. most times it happens like that, it can be becos of change of diet, ill-health or stress. just expect it it will come
