On one hand we have Jesus, son of Yahweh. Leader of the people, performer of miracles, carpenter, healer of the sick and provider of cheap wine.
On the other hand we have Hercules, son of Zeus. Defender of the people, destroyer of evil and a symbol of righteousness.
Which one gets your vote.
Please try to have an unbiased opinion here, don't just vote Jesus because you're a Christian.

I'd have to say Jesus: not only does he heal the sick, he raises the dead, performs miracles plus he is also a defender of the people, destroyer of evil and a symbol of righteousness which you have attributed to Hercules.
Hercules is no where near as good

Look i am an Orthodox Christian but also a Greek. You are right about Hercules, but don't forget that he is a mythical person. The truth is that all myths have a little bit of reality but he is still a mythical person. Jesus Christ except that He is the Son of God is also a historical person. I choose Christ because He destroys evil, defends people etc, but all these with true love not violence !

Hercules as defender of the people, destroyer of evil and symbol on righteousness is only exist in TV and movies.
In the greek mythology, he was described as short-tempered and reckless person.
He killed his music tutor with a lyra just because he critize Hercules terrible play.
He also killed his own family by the trick of Hera, who knew his short-tempered attitude
thus Jesus is the better Son of God

Judas's gospel has been authenticated as far as how old it is (the canonical gospels are significantly older). It is also believed by most of the scientists that studied it to be the work of gnostics. It has not and cannot be authenticated to have been written by Judas or by Judas's testimony. The quote you gave would have to be read in context with the surrounding text to understand the meaning. Either way, I don't see how either of these has anything to do with whether or not Jesus was the son of God. I believe he most certainly is, and if you don't then that is your decision.

Well you are using to very different myths. You are using a man who claimed to be the Son of the One True God, who came to save the world.
On the other hand you have a man who is the son of a god who had to kill another god to even get his thrown amongst a plethora of other gods and goddesses.

I am Wiccan, and think Jesus would be, though I do not believe the stories about him being the son of god though, just an odinary person who daccomplished great things in his time.
With thoughts like that, I should really be Jewish, I think...

in all respect to your question, i choose the man who didn't have to flaunt his muscles. the man who openly told the world that he loves them. the man who defied evil without even raising his fist. the man who was friends of sinners. the man who knows that even as i type i am no better than any of you, i'm a big screw up with belief that God still loves me and yet he loves me back. the man who died a humiliating death because he had faith that it would provide me a means to get to heaven when i die. the man who defeated death by resurrecting and returning to heaven.
