NEUTRON

One of the constituent particles of every atomic nucleus except ordinary hydrogen. Discovered in 1932 by JAMES CHDWICK (1891–1974), it has no electric charge and has nearly 1,840 times the mass of the electron.

But

Samuel T. Cohen (born 1921 in Brooklyn, New York) is a physicist who is known for inventing the W70 warhead and the "enhanced neutron weapon" or NEWTRON BOMB. In the 1990s he advocated investigation of terrorist threats like red mercury and nuclear isomers.-

Neutron was discovered actually not invented... Rutherford predicted the prescence of neutral particles in the nucleus of atoms. It was actually discovered by Chadwick in the year 1932.

in 1932, j. chadwick discovered another subatomic particle which had no charge and a mass nearly equal to that of prorton.it waseventually named as nuetron. nuetrons are present in the nucleus of all atoms, expect hydrogen.in general,a neutron is represented as 'n'.the mass an atom is therefore given by the sum of the masses of protons and nuetrons present in the nucleus.
