I either put my coins them in my jacket pocket/jean pocket or in my coin purse or just randomly anywhere in my purse. It depends how much change I have.
A couple of coins=shoes (my shoes have a zipper on the side of them)
A few coins=pocket
Some coins=purse
Many coins=coin purse

i am a cashier so i always see how people carry their coins and most woman have coin purses, which can be a wallet with a coin compartment or a special small coin purse, the men usually carry their coins in their pocket, some do have a coin compartment on their wallets and some even carry a coin purse, but it looks manly, whatever is more comfortable for you that is how i would do it

I work in a gas station so I deal with many different people all day long.
Men: most carry change in their pockets. Older men usually have change by the handfuls. Some wallets have a tiny zippered pocket for coins.
Women: most carry coins in their purses/wallets. Younger girls keep change in their pockets. The older generation, well, they carry change purses. And they keep all kinds of things in there!

I carry coins in my pantpockets, but I also live in the US where coins don't carry as much importance as they do overseas (like the Euro, where the 1 and 2 Euro pieces are not bills but coins).
EDIT: And I think a lot of ladies get handbags with a small pocket on the side for coins (or maybe a small coin purse inside the handbag). It varies for personal preference.

If I just bought something and I'm walking straight to my car I put the coins in my door handle. If I am not in my car and I have my purse that has the coin case I put them there, otherwise I put them in my pocket. If I do not have a pocket then I put them in a zippered compartment in my purse. Once I get home I empty all my coins into a jar.

Men carry them in their pockets, in the ash tray of the car, in the cosole of the car ... women, if not a change purse, at least for me ... I don't like carrying it. I leave it at home in a jar & then after I collect enough, I roll them & take 'em to the bank! I hate carrying change. I do keep a little in my wallet, but other than that ... nope.

My husband puts his in his pockets and empties them into a jar when he gets home. I put them in the small zippered compartment in my purse. I use my change all the time. My grandpa uses one of those little rubber coin change holder things. It is oval and when you squeeze the two far ends, it opens up to put in or take out your coins.

I HAVE A ZIPPER PART IN MY CURRENT PURSE WHICH I DO NOT HAVE TO CARRY A WALLET WITH THAT I PUT MY CHANGE IN. MY OLD PURSE I HAD A SEPARATE WALLET WHICH HAD A ZIPPER PART ON IT SO I PUT IT IN THE WALLET.. HOWEVER MY HUSBAND LIKE MOST YOUNGER MEN CARRY HIS IN HIS POCKET THEN COMES HOME EMPTIES IT ON THE TABLE AND PICKS IT ALL BACK UP BUT THE PENNIES IN THE MORNING BEFORE WORK. MOST OLDER MEN HAVE THE RUBBER CHANGE HOLDERS THAT YOU SQUEEZE ON EACH SIDE TO OPEN.

Dude, dont carry coins simple as that. Carrying coins and making that jingleing sound makes you seem like a bum, literally. Get a cup, put in on your dresser, put the coins in the cup, and there, you dont need to carry coins. If you really need to carry them, put them in your bag and make sure they dont jingle.
