To be fair, it's not too bad. I play guitar, I just wondered what I could do to make me sing better?

One thing that I have found helpful is to sing often and sing into a microphone where you can hear yourself and adjust your voice as neccesary. Always warm up I do nothing more than to sing a few songs before I try to adjust my voice. You will have a certain pitch/tone that you are comfortable singing but you will also with practice be able to expand your singing range. It is important to be able to hear yourself as others hear you.

Singing teachers are good but there are other things you can do!
PRACTICE whenever you can and practice holding notes and going up and down scales. Find the highest note you can hold and go to the next one and practice holding that. Be your own music teacher, record yourself and find the things about your voice which need to be improved, and then find away to improve it yourself!
Other little things that help your voice are:

1. Keep yourself well, try desperatly not to get a cold

2. Stay away from dary products. This is unhealthy imo tho so I just only eat them a night so by the next day their effect on your voice isn't as bad.

3. Take deep breaths of water moisture. This can be done by getting one of those special machines; or just breathing over a bowl of boiling hot water, or putting a wet towel over your radiator to put moisture in the air

Hope this helps!

I would recommend taking voice lessons from a private teacher. Usually you can find them through the phone book, local music stores, or even contact a high school music teacher...usually they have lists of people in the area that teach private voice lessons. They aren't very expensive, and usually you can do it once a week, or however often you want to. Then they can help to train your voice for what kind of music you want to perform.
Also...avoid dairy product before sining....they make your throat all flemmy. And some times drinking a little alcohol be fore you are going to perform will help you to sing clearer and higher.
