i was charged with posession of stolen property, burglary, and posession of burglary tools.

the sargeant dropped the burglary and posession of burglary tools but i might get charged with posession of stolen property as a misdemeanor.

i was at the police station jail for a weekend and then got bailed out.

i havent gone to my first court date because its not until later next month.

im getting a background check done right now. will any of this show up?

the store i applied for gives you medical insurance and all that after a year of being with them.

the position i might get is probably the least paying job there and the most labor.

im only 18 still in high school.

when i applied for the job they had asked me if i had any felonies or misdemeanors and i said no.

they never asked me at the recent interview which was after all of this happend

That actually depends on how big the store is. They usually call any former employers to see if you really worked there and the dates. Then ask if you're eligible for re-hire.

Then they sometimes run your SS and get a credit report to see if you are paying your bills. This is a load of crap, but because they may have a lot to lose, the maintain that right.

If they ask you again...then you'll be forced to tell them what did happen, sorry to say, and you won't be hired.

WHY did you do that? All you've created is a large vacuum for yourself to be sucked up into a place that's going to create problems for you later on.

Your best hope is that they won't check out your records. It just depends on if or not the store is a big chain.

Later on down the road you may be able to get the charges expunged; but give it some time, okay? You'll need an attorney for that. But in the MEANTIME...IF you get the job, DON'T tell ANYONE...got that? If you do...and they're in a crappy mood or get angry with you for anything, they're gonna run right to the boss and expose you. Ya hear?

If you were asked if you've ever been arrested for felonies or theft then you need to say yes, if the question was about Convictions then tell the truth and say no. Once arrested it will appear on your background but with no disposition, it takes a few weeks too. If they conduct checks every year then you will be caught, most don't.

the possession charge may give them a red flag because there number 1 priorty is theft prevention and if you were caught with stolen with stolen property then the store may be unwilling to take the risk on you when they have other applicants without a record that has not been charged with possession of stolen property. If it were my store it would definetly raise red flags.Any thing that has to do with theft usually raises red flags. You may be able to explain your case to the store but it' been my experience that anything to do with stealing they steer away from. GOOD LUCK ,and QUIT YOUR DAMN STEALING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and GROW UP!!!!!!

If you are not convicted of anything yet you dont need to put it on your application but it may show up that a the case is pending on a background check.Too bad you made a dumb mistake that will stick with you now forever.
